North Carolina and Thanksgiving 2013

After returning from Alaska, I went down to visit Maggie in Durham, NC for a few weeks. We went out a bit, and just before Thanksgiving, my parents met us down there to see Asheville and some other local attractions, and road trip back to Huron for thanksgiving with my grandparents and Aditya and Tejas. On the trip we rode Segways, hiked, and ate lots of food.

Watching the musical version of “Ghost” at the Durham Performing Arts Center These cute minion pumpkins were on the porch below Maggie’s apartment. Our first Asheville activity was a Segway tour. At the theater downtown Playing giant jenga at one of the Asheville breweries

And table shuffle board Dessert at the Chocolate Lounge Chimney rock viewed from the parking lot. We’re going to hike up there. I got locked in the cave along the way. That’s a lot of stairs. Can you spot Waldo? (Or Maggie and me?)

On top of Chimney Rock We made it! Looking down at the hotel we stayed at last night Dad playing theramin at the Moog synthesizer factory

Making apple swan carvings. Looks intense! The finished product. The whole Thanksgiving crew. Beth and Tyler came over later that night.
