Baiyun Mountain (白云山)

This was a Saturday morning trip with Tim, Jasmine, and her friend Galon. We hiked (which was more of a casual walk) up the mountain (which was more a big hill), and hung out on top for a while. There were lots of stores, restaurants, and activities on top, and we spent a few hours there. The highlight for me was bungee jumping which is terrifying. It feels like you’re falling forever, and nothing is going to catch you even though the harness is strapped on the whole time.

I don’t have any pictures of the bungee jumping, but a video will be coming soon(ish).

View of the city from part way up. Me with Jasmine and Galon There is a pedestrian road on top. This stone sidewalk is supposed to massage your feet and make you healthy if you walk on it barefoot. We just though it hurt. I don’t know how stepping on a rock is good for my thyroid, but who am I to question 5000 years of wisdom.

This means: watch out because drivers will try to run you down! I can make her strike this pose anytime I want just by pointing the camera in her general direction. The band played and everyone in the area sang along. We took the cable car to get back down. I guess when she doesn’t see the camera, he does the pose :)
